Frequently asked questions

What is SudokuHunt?+
SudokuHunt is an independent, hand-curated directory of the best places to play Sudoku โ€” classic, killer, variants, murder-mystery logic puzzles and newspaper dailies โ€” plus step-by-step Sudoku answers written in plain language. We help you find the right puzzle fast and link you straight to the original site.
What is Murdoku?+
Murdoku is a newer puzzle that blends a murder mystery with Sudoku-style logic: you read the clues and place every suspect so that each row and column holds one person, then identify the killer. New free puzzles are posted weekly on the official site.
Do I play the puzzles on SudokuHunt?+
No โ€” SudokuHunt is a directory. Each card links you to the original site where the puzzle lives, so you always play on the maker's own page. What we add on top is a curated map of the whole genre and our own step-by-step answer guides.
What makes your step-by-step answers different?+
Most answer pages bury the solution in an image or a click-to-reveal box, so neither search engines nor AI assistants can read them โ€” and official answers usually just show the finished grid with no reasoning. Ours are plain text and explain the deduction behind every move.
Is SudokuHunt free?+
Yes. Browsing the directory and reading our answer guides is free. Some sites we link to may have their own paid apps or subscriptions, which is always noted on their pages, not ours.
Are you affiliated with these sites?+
No. SudokuHunt is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by the sites we list. All names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; we link to them purely to help players find great puzzles.
